We're still ironing things out as we go along and we've made a couple changes in the rules. The maximum size for play area has been bumped up to 600x700 to give you a little more breathing room. We've also decided that we're going to use only a single 256 color palette that will be created by the artist of the base doll. Alexis will still only be 16 color but all future dolls will be 256. I've also added information in the rules section on what to include in your e-mail when sending your submission. I would like to thank King In Yellow for allowing us to post his tutorial sets, which coincidently can be found in the tutorial section.

Well everything is up and ready for the competition to begin! There's a brief history for Alexis written up on her page and you can download the base doll to begin work on her wardrobe. I've included a template of her body for those of you that prefer to work with one. We've also got our first set of guideline words and I'm excited to see the variety of characters you can come up with. If you have any questions about the contest or KiSS itself feel free to e-mail me or leave it at our message board, you're sure to get a quick answer.

We've changed the focus of the base doll competition and it's reflected in the rules section and in the "What is the MKC?" page. We're hoping this change will bring about a greater variety of base dolls and be more Kisekae artist friendly. I've also posted our base doll for the wardrobe competition, Alexis Mond. I should have a brief background up for her shortly and I will also post a link to download her along with a template to create clothes for her. She's 16 colors to make it easier for everyone to create their own palettes for their wardrobes. Be back on the 15th!

Ok so I lied, I couldn't wait until the 15th. We're almost ready for launch, just a few more pages to get up and a base doll to complete. If you have any suggestions for the page or the contest feel free to pass them along, I'd be happy to hear them.

As you can see things are still coming together but I hope to have everything finished and up for business by the 15th. We'll have both a base doll to be clothed and reference for a new base doll up by then. I'm pretty excited about this idea and the cool sets that could be created by it! I'll be back on the 15th
